My research includes Web citation analysis and online scholarly impact assessment using web-based quantitative and qualitative research methods. I have tested different Web citation extraction methods and proposed the Integrated Online Impact to capture impact indictors from different types of web documents (e.g., online papers, digitised books and patents) for research evaluation such as Web/URL citations,  Google Books and Google Patents. I have also conducted a range of investigations to assess wider impacts of research (e.g., cultural, educational and societal) using Social Networking Sites such as online academic syllabi, Amazon Reviews, YouTube videos, Academia , ResearchGate and Wikipedia.
